Rear Admiral Susan Blumenthal, M.D., M.P.A. (ret.) received a Doctor Honoris Causa Degree from Sapienza University of Rome for her pioneering leadership, commitment, and contributions to improving public health including obesity prevention, the fight against HIV/AIDS, women’s health issues and advancing health care reform efforts.
